Abstract A POLYETHYLENEPOLYAMINE AND A BIFUNCTIONAL SUBSTANCE CONTAINING HALOGEN AND/OR EPOXY GROUPS ARE COPOLYMERIZED IN THE PRESENCE OF WATER, A HYDROPHOBIC SOLVENT AND A SURFACE ACTIVE ALKALI METAL SALT OF AN ALKYLARYLSULFONIC ACID TO YIELD A COPOLYMER IN BEAD FORM. THE COPOLYMER IS USEFUL AS A HYPOCHOLESTEREMIC AGENT FOR ANIMALS, INCLUDING MAMMALS.
