Abstract
Abstract A swab unit comprising an enclosure, a cap for the enclosure, a hollow stemmed swab secured to the cap and in communication with a flexible walled housing mounted on the cap. A frangible liquid filled ampoule is located in the housing. Upon squeezing of the flexible walls of the housing, the ampoule is broken, permitting the liquid to flow through the hollow stem of the swab to moisten absorbent material secured to the end of the swab.
