Abstract SCALE FORMATION AS WELL AS DEPOSITION OF INCRUSTATIONS IN AQUEOUS SYSTEM ARE PREVENTED BY THE ADDITION OF A COMPOSITION CONTACTING STARCH DEGRADATION PRODUCTS AND PHOSPHORIC ACIDS, PREFERABLY IN SUBSTOICHIOMETRIC AMOUNTS CALCULATED FOR THE SCALE AND HARDNESS CAUSING COMPOUNDS PRESENT IN AQUEOUS SYSTEMS.
