Abstract

Abstract The image space of a hologram is analyzed by forming a diffraction-point hologram of a diffraction point at a known distance from the plane on which its hologram is formed and cross-correlating the diffraction-point hologram and the hologram being analyzed. An image is formed in the plane of the crosscorrelation when the diffraction point depicted in the diffraction-point hologram is spaced from the plane of its hologram as a diffraction point on the object of the hologram being analyzed is spaced from the plane of its hologram.
