Abstract
Abstract Multiple lumen tubing for use in medico-surgical tubes that have an arcuate shape, e.g., endotracheal tubes, are formed by extrusion and then wound on a drum with the secondary lumen facing the drum. The tubing and drum are then stored for at least 10 minutes at an elevated temperature, after which the tubing is cooled while still wound on the drum. Finally, the cooled tubing is removed from the drum and cut into desired lengths to make the medico-surgical tubes.
