Abstract ACRYLIC FIBERS CONTAINING STREAKY INCLUSIONS OF 2-25% POLYVINYL CYANOETHYL ETHER OF DS VALUE BETWEEN 55% AND 75% HAVING IMPROVED LUSTER, SOFTNESS, HYGROSCOPIC, AND ANTISTATIC PROPERTIES. SUCH FIBERS ARE MADE BY WET-SPINNING A SOLUTION OF THE POLYVINYL CYANOETHYL ETHER AND THE ACRYLONITRILE POLYMER IN A COMMON SOLVENT, WATER-WASHING, STRETCHING, AND DRY-HEAT DRYING THE FIBERS SO SPUN.
