Abstract
Abstract An ankle support has an open-fronted heel boot of relatively stiff construction to brace an ankle against sprains without constricting the ankle. An elastic strap section spanning the wearer''s instep and a nonelastic ankle-wrapping strap section hold the boot snugly on the wearer''s foot without significantly restricting walking movements.
