Abstract
Abstract An ultrasonic vibrating device is used to weld together a pair of strips of thermoplastic material lying coplanar and disposed above and below a plurality of wires to form a ladder strapping insulating bond. The welding operation is performed within a molding cavity which restrains any melted plastic from leaking out from between the strips, thereby preventing the formation of flash along the welded edge.
