Abstract

Abstract A fluorescent lamp with an inorganic phosphor coating on the lamp envelope. The phosphor particles have the shape of foraminous spheres with a diameter between about 3 and 20 Mu . In the preferred embodiment, these spheres are hollow so that there is a maximum of emitting surface for a minimum weight of powder.
