Abstract
Abstract A new and improved in vitro concept in measuring serum thyroxine (T-4) is disclosed which employs an alkaline crosslinked dextran gel (Sephadex) column to dissociate and separate the T-4 from the serum protein in a single operation. An isotope dilution technique combined with saturation analysis is used to estimate the T-4 content in serum.
