Abstract BLOCK COPOLYMERS OF MONOVINYL ARENES WITH CONJUGATED DIENES ARE HYDROGENATED TO FORM SELECTIVELY HYDROGENATED PRODUCTS WHEREIN ONLY THE CONJUGATED DIENE BLOCKS ARE HYDROGENATED, THE RESULTING MATERIALS HAVING SUBSTANTIAL ADVANTAGES RELATIVE TO HIGHER MELT TEMPERATURES AND THEREFORE HIGHER SERVICE TEMPERATURES, EXCELLENT RESISTANCE TO OXIDATION AND REDUCED CREEP SET CHARACTERISTICS.
