Claims Analysis

Total Claims: 14
Claim 1
Independent Claim 62 words
A reaction vessel for small quantities of liquid and having a top closure adapted to be pierced by a sharpened cannula, said top closure consisting of a foil bridging substantially the entire throat of said vessel, said foil exhibiting sufficient elasticity to provide elastic deformation of a prick hole edge to effect bearing contact upon the outer wall of such a cannula.
Claim 2
Dependent Claim 62 words
A reaction vessel for small quantities of liquid and having a top closure adapted to be pierced by a sharpened cannula, said top closure consisting of a foil bridging substantially the entire throat of said vessel, said foil exhibiting sufficient elasticity to provide elastic deformation of a prick hole edge to effect bearing contact upon the outer wall of such a cannula.
Claim 3
Dependent Claim 23 words
A reaction vessel according to claim 1, characterized in that said foil has a thickness within the range of 0.08 to 0.35 mm.
Claim 4
Dependent Claim 19 words
A reaction vessel according to claim 1 wherein said foil is joined to the upper vessel edge by welding.
Claim 5
Dependent Claim 16 words
A reaction vessel according to claim 3 wherein said foil is applied under a slight tension.
Claim 6
Dependent Claim 22 words
A reaction vessel according to claim 3 wherein the thickness of said foil is in the range of 0.08 to 0.2 mm.
Claim 7
Dependent Claim 15 words
A reaction vessel according to claim 3 wherein said foil is approximately 0.1 mm. thick.
Claim 8
Dependent Claim 38 words
A reaction vessel according to claim 1 wherein said foil is an integral part of a removable cover and said cover includes a reinforced edge, said cover being adapted for insertion into the upper throat of the vessel.
Claim 9
Dependent Claim 22 words
A reaction vesseL according to claim 7 wherein the thickness of the foil is in the range of 0.2 to 0.3 mm.
Claim 10
Dependent Claim 20 words
A reaction vessel according to claim 1 wherein the foil and the vessel are both fabricated from a polypropylene-based plastic.
Claim 11
Dependent Claim 24 words
A reaction vessel according to claim 7, wherein said cover and said vessel are formed as integral components of a single polypropylene-based plastic unit.
Claim 12
Dependent Claim 87 words
A reaction vessel for small quantities of liquid, having a substantially cylindrical upper body portion with a top closure adapted to be pierced by a sharpened cannula; said top closure consisting of a foil substantially bridging the opening of said upper body portion; said foil and said vessel being fabricated of polypropylene-based plastic; and said foil having a thickness of 0.08 to 0.35 mm. and being characterized by sufficient elasticity such that the prick hole edge effects bearing contact upon the outer wall of a piercing cannula.
Claim 13
Dependent Claim 87 words
A reaction vessel for small quantities of liquid, having a substantially cylindrical upper body portion with a top closure adapted to be pierced by a sharpened cannula; said top closure consisting of a foil substantially bridging the opening of said upper body portion; said foil and said vessel being fabricated of polypropylene-based plastic; and said foil having a thickness of 0.08 to 0.35 mm. and being characterized by sufficient elasticity such that the prick hole edge effects bearing contact upon the outer wall of a piercing cannula.
Claim 14
Dependent Claim 45 words
A reaction vessel according to claim 11, wherein said foil is an integral part of a removable cover having a reinforced edge and dimensioned to fit within the opening of said upper body portion, and wherein said cover is an integral part of said vessel.
