Abstract ALKANOLAMINO SUBSTITUTED-S-TRIAZINES ARE PREPARED BY A PROCESS COMPRISING REACTNG CYANURIC CHLORIDE WITH AN ALKANOLAMINE IN THE PRESENCE OF AN ALKALI OR ALKALI EARTH META OXIDE, HYDROXIDE, CARBONATE OR A BICARBONATE IN AN ORGANIC MEDIUM SUBSTANTIALLY FREE OF WATER. BY THIS PROCESS NOVEL 2,4,6-TRIS(N-ALKYL ALKANOLAMINO)-S-TRIAZINE COMPOUNDS ARE ALSO PREPARED. THESE COMPOUNDS ARE USEFUL AS CROSS-LINKING AGENTS FOR POLYESTERS OR ALKYDS.
