Tool for removing a bone pin
Abstract
Abstract The invention describes a tool which makes it possible to remove a bone pin, or part of a bone pin, which has previously been fitted by an orthopaedic surgeon. A tool of this nature is in particular a hollow drill 20 which is provided with flexibility in the radial direction and rigidity in the circumferential direction by the presence of one or more incisions 21-23 which extend substantially in the circumferential direction and, by their nature, ensure that the parts 27 and 28 of the body of the hollow drill 20 are anchored with respect to one another. Advantageously, the cutting end of the hollow drill forms part of a component which is releasably connected to the rest of the body of the hollow drill 20. <IMAGE>
