Optical device in image forming device
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To eliminate the fluctuation in the distortion over the entire part of an image and to improve image quality by unifying the characteristics of the distortions among plural laser beams to the same direction thereby minimizing the deviations in the images among the respective laser beams. CONSTITUTION: The 1st laser beam 18a is reflected by the surface of a polygonal mirror 21 and is then passed through a 1st lens 24 from which the beam is inverted and deflected by mirrors 28, 30 and is passed through a 2nd lens 26 so as to be projected to a photosensitive body 23. On the other hand, the 2nd laser beam 20a is reflected by the surface of the polygonal mirror 21 and is then passed through the 1st lens 24 in the optical path symmetrical with the optical path of the 1st laser beam 18a. The beam is then inverted and deflected by a 3rd mirror 31 and is imaged by a 3rd lens 27 so as to be projected onto the photosensitive body 23. The laser beams in the arbitrary directions are directionally changed in such a manner to unify the characteristics of the distortions of the laser beams to the same direction, by which the functuation in the distortion over the entire part of the image is eliminated and the image quality is improved.
