Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To increase a thrust and a speed and to reduce a variation in the speed of a linear type ultrasonic motor by mounting elastic rails at both sides of a piezoelectric vibrator in a vibrating direction. CONSTITUTION:Elastic rails 1a, 1b are secured to both vibrating surfaces of piezoelectric vibrators 2a, 2b, and mounted in the state that a slider 3 is contacted under pressure with the rails 1a, 1b. When the vibrator 2a is driven, the slider 3 moves in a direction D, while when the vibrator 2b is driven, the slider 3 moves in a direction E.
