Liquid crystal display device
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To prevent deterioration in the display appearance by generated bubbles by using substrates made of a nonpolar polymer. CONSTITUTION:Transparent and electrically conductive films 2 are formed on substrates 1, prescribed electrode patterns are formed, and an orienting agent is applied and dried. The substrates are put in a dissolving soln., pulled up at a constant speed, and dried to form orienting films 3. A sealant 4 is stuck to one of the substrates 1 by screen printing, and a silver-base electrically conductive adhesive is stuck to parts of the substrates 1 to be provided with electric conductivity. Short glass fibers are spread, the upper and lower substrates 1 are assembled, and the adhesive is cured by heating at about 80 deg.C. A liq. crystal is filled into the space between the substrates 1 from an injection hole by a vacuum injection method, and the hole is sealed with an epoxy adhe sive to form a liq. crystal layer 6. A polarizing plate and a polarizing plate fitted with a reflecting plate are then placed on the substrates 1 to complete a liq. crystal display device.
