Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To automatically supply a separated serum to an analyzing element of an analysis slide by providing on the bottom of a blood container a means which opens when the centrifugal force by a fast rotation of a disc reaches a fixed value. CONSTITUTION:A holder retaining an analysis slide 2 and a blood container 3 is mounted to a disc and then, blood to be analyzed is injected into the blood container 3 as whole blood. Then, as the disc is driven at a high speed, in the blood injected into the blood container 3, serum is separated centrifugally close to the base inside the blood container 3 due to the difference in the specific gravity. With further acceleration thereof, a liquid passage blocking means 34 which has closed a serum withdrawal port 33 provided on the bottom surface of the blood container 3 is forced to open the withdrawal port with the action of an increased centrifugal force and thus, the serum previously separated in the blood container 3 is allowed to leak out and fed to the analysis slide 2.
