Heat pipe of loop type which operates in horizontal state

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To make manufacture of long loop pipe easy and to increase the efficiency of a pipe, by molding the pipe in the shape of a long loop, and by filling an evaporating part at one end in the lengthwise direction of a pipe and one long side of a loop, that is a part between the evaporating part and a condensing part at the other end of a loop, with wicks, in the titled heat pipe. CONSTITUTION:The operating fluid in a heat pipe spreads over the whole area of an evaporating part 1 by the capillary action of wicks 3, evaporating absorbing the heat in a sun room. The operating fluid evaporated and turned into gas moves into a condensing part 2 passing through a gas passage 5 in which no wicks are provided, radiating heat to a room on the north side, and condenses. The condensed operating fluid is returned to the evaporating part 1 by the capillary action of the wicks 3 provided in a condensed fluid passage 4, and is circulated again in the same manner. The heat obtained from the sun room is continuously transferred to the room on the north side to heat it.
