Reproducer of character information

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE:To select freely the type and the shape of character, by forming an area of character information data and an area of a conversion table on the same disc, and reproducing a character information signal with the converting table corresponding to the character information data. CONSTITUTION:When the disc 1 is set on an area DA of a prescribed location, a character information data is detected with a pickup 2 and applied to a microprocessor 5. A control signal SC of the pickup 2 is outputted based on the character information data. Further, the pickup 2 searches a converting table area DB and a character information signal is detected from the converting table and applied to the microprocessor 5, from which the character information signal is applied to a display 4 for displaying the character. Thus, the type and shape of character are set freely by changing optionally the converting table.
