Automatic piston ring inserting apparatus
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To automatically insert a ring substantially having no engaging hole by supporting the guide jig having a circular cone which expands a piston ring, via the internal circumference, with the supporting cylinder located within the pressure cylinder and by pushing out the ring toward the piston with the pressure cylinder. CONSTITUTION:The cut-out plate 7 advances, the piston ring 8 is engaged over the hook 300 of guide jig 3, and when the cut-out plate 7 moves backward, the supporting cylinder 6 moves downward simultaneously and the lock hook 61 is engaged with the engaging groove 302 of jig 3. Thereafter, the pressure cylinder 4 moves downward, expanding the ring 8 along the cone part 32 of jig 3 and pushing the ring up to the piston ring groove 88 position of piston 89. Thereby the ring 8 is inserted into the ring groove 88.
