Automatic inserter for piston ring
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To make a piston ring insertable into a ring groove in an automated manner, by installing an expander claw engaging and expanding the piston ring, a pressure claw and a lifter. CONSTITUTION:A piston ring 8 cut out by a cutting claw 71 is engaged and expanded. Each of pressure claws 6 being fitted with each of plural expander claws 5, which is supported movably in radial direction and has the surface engaged with the inner circumference of the piston ring 8 and is movably supported at the outer circumference side in an axial direction, is installed. Both pressure claws 6 and expander claws 5 are all disposed in a state of concentricity, and a lifter 9 moving these expander claws 5 relatively in relation to a piston 89 is installed as well. Therefore, a spacer expander having a slip joint, a multi-winding piston ring and the like is made insertable into a ring groove in an automated manner.
