Spotting cutter

Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To make possible a desired grinding when a drill edge or an edge wears down by a method wherein a cutter body and a drill edge are composed separately and they are fixed firmly detachably to each other. CONSTITUTION: The spotting cutter 10 is connected to an air drill or an electric drill through a cutter holder, and the cutter 10 is composed of a cutter body 5 and a drill part 6. The body 5 is provided with an edge at its end face and a hole 9 to store the drill part 6 is made in the vertical shaft of the cutter. The shaft diameter of the part 6 is approximately equal to the diameter of the hole 9 and they are loose in fit. The body 5 has a screw hole 11 to penetrate the hole 9 and a fitting screw 12 to fix the part 6 is screwed into the hole 11. In such a manner, the cutter 10 fixes both body 5 and part 6 detachably.
