Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To enable processing with broad cutting width by extra-high pressure water by enlarging the area of motion of a nozzle through the eccentrical motion and the shaking-rotation motion of a nozzle shaft. CONSTITUTION: A nozzle shaft 7 is made to perform an eccentrical motion by rotating a rotary shaft 1 continuously by a motor 4, while the shaft 7 is made to perform normal and reverse shaking rotations by the operation of a cylinder 12, and thereby the extra-high pressure water is jetted from a nozzle 8 provided eccentrically, the high-speed water stream thus produced is made to strike against a nonmetallic material, and thereby the cutting processing is performed. The waste produced by the processing is exhausted with the low-pressure liquid from a nozzle 17 provided in the rotary shaft 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)1981,JPO&Japio
