Pretreating agent for laser remedy
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: The titled pretreating agent, prepared by dissolving a specific pigment in a solvent, and capable of enhancing the laser irradiating effect. CONSTITUTION: A pigment having a molecular extinction coefficient ≥10,000 at a laser wavelength, e.g. (I) Gentian Violet, New Coccine, etc. for argon laser, (II) Gentian Violet or food green No.2 for helium-neon laser and crypton laser, in an amount of 0.1W8wt% is dissolved in a solvent, e.g. water or ethanol, to give the aimed pretreating agent. The irradiation of the skin after the application of the pretreating agent provides an eschar area about 4 times that in the absence of the pretreatment by half the irradiation output in the remedy of dermatopathy, e.g. a blotch, with the laser irradiation.
