Improved radial tire
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE: To maintain maneuverability, anti-wear property, etc. of a radial tire while lightening same by constituting rubber-coated cord layers having heterogeneous cords of specified materials arranged from at least one layer of the rubber-coated cord layer constituting the belt layer in the radial tire. CONSTITUTION: A rubber-coated cord layer 4 constituting belt layers 4B is constituted from one unit of steel cord and one unit of aromatic polyamide cord arranged alternatively in parallel. For example, cord layers with total 14 driven cords/ 25.4mm of steel cords 1 having 3×0.20+6×0.38 structure and aromatic polyamide cords 2 having 1,500D/2/3 structure alternatively arranged in parallel to each other are coated with rubber composition 3 to provide the rubber-coated layer 4. Total three-ply lamination of this cord layers 4 is arranged to constitute belt layers 4B such that cord angle at the top of the outside of carcass cord ply 8 has a predetermined value.
