Abstract

Abstract PURPOSE: To know a sweep state easily by changing a display image in display color when the sweep is stopped after tuning to a fixed frequency, in a channel selector on a sweep channel selection system used for a color television receiver. CONSTITUTION: For the purpose of controlling a channel-selection frequency, sweep voltage generating circuit 13 which develops a channel selecting voltage applied to electronic tuner 1 by sweeping and its control circuit 14 are provided. When video carrier detection circuit 15, SIF carrier detection circuit 16 and synchronous separator circuit 8 detect a video carrier, SIF carrier and vertical synchronizing signal respectively, control circuit 14 stops the sweep operation of sweep voltage generating circuit 13 and display color change-over circuit 21 changes a display picture in color.
