Wire cut electrospark machining apparatus
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To improve machining characteristics of a wire electrode which is used for wire cut electrospark machining by producing same such that a stock for an electrode after wire drawing is annealed at a temperature lower than its recrystallization temperature to form a wire electrode from which residual stress has been removed without deteriorating mechanical strength thereof. CONSTITUTION:A wire electrode after wire drawing is first wound on a large wire bobbin 5 and is then pulled out therefrom by means of a delivery roller 6. The wire electrode then passes through an annealing pipe 8 disposed in an adiabatic device 7 and is finally taken up on a wire bobbin 4 by a takeup roller 9. In the meantime, a motor connected to the delivery roller 6 and to the takeup roller 9 is synchronized by a drive controller device 10. The annealing pipe 8 has a resistor wire 11 wound thereon and is held to a temperature lower than the recrystallization temperature of the wire electrode 1 by means of a temperature controller device 13 including a temperature sensor 12.
