Composite magnetic material for thermotherapy
Abstract
Abstract PURPOSE:To inductively heat an ill part always in a prescribed temp. range by combining transition metals, semimetals, heat sensitive amorphous alloy having a specific Curie temp., and other ferromagnetic materials. CONSTITUTION:The composite material magnetic for thermotherapy is obtd. by combining the transition metals of 1 or >=2 kinds among Fe, Ni and Co, the semimetals of 1 or >=2 kinds among P, C, Si, and B, the heat sensitive amorphous alloy contg. Cr and/or Mo and having 42-90 deg.C Curie temp., and the other magnetic materials. The heat sensitive amorphous alloy has the Curie point as low as 42-90 deg.C by addition of the Cr and/or Mo and, therefore, the alloy is prevented from being heated up to the prescribed temp. correlated with the Curie temp. or above even if external magnetic fields are increased. The temp. of the ill part of a cancer, etc., is, therefore, maintained always at a desired level without requiring specific control.
