Improvements in or relating to a sealing cap for a package comprising a number of piled-up tablets wrapped to form a bar
Abstract
Abstract 840,802. Packages. ENGELSMAN, G. J. Oct. 26, 1956, No. 32741/56. Class 94(1). A package comprises a wrapped stack of tablets 1, Fig. 1, provided with an end cap 3 co-operating with a slidable ring 2 whose upper end 4 forms an edge against which the wrapper may be torn. The ring may be conical in shape. The end 4 may be inclined, serrated or profiled as shown in Fig. 9 to facilitate withdrawal of the uppermost tablet. In use, the ring 2 is progressively moved down the package as tablets are withdrawn, the cap 3 serving to reclose the package so that the remaining tablets are protected. The ring may be formed with a shoulder 6, Fig. 3, which is engaged by the lower edge of the cap, so that when the latter is applied the ring is automatically moved down the package until the underside of the cap engages the uppermost tablet. The upper edge 8 of the ring, Fig. 11, may be formed as a helix to co-operate with a screw cap.
