Electric telemeasurement apparatus
Abstract
Abstract 657,031. Changing waveform. COMPAGNIE ELECTRO-MECANIQUE. Jan. 28, 1946, No. 2775. Convention date, Jan. 27, 1944. [Class 38 (ii)] [Also in Group XXXVIII] In an automatic telemetering system, the position of the potentiometer tapping 39 is indicated by the ratiometer 55, 56. Two pulse trains corresponding respectively to the A.C. voltages developed across potentiometer 40 and at tapping 39 are transmitted over the lines 53, 54 and energize the appropriate winding 55 or 56 of the ratiometer. The rectifier switching circuits 43, 44 and 48, 49 conduct during opposite half-cycles of the supply 42 and for periods depending upon the automatic bias condensers 47, 52. Switch 43, 44 therefore transmits a pulse train over lines 53, 54 of amplitude proportional to the total voltage across 40 while switch 48, 49 transmits a pulse train of opposite sign and amplitude proportional to the tapping 39.
