Improvements relating to resilient linings for boxes and like containers
Abstract
Abstract A box is lined with sponge rubber or the like by pouring the substance round a core in the box and setting it. The core may be in the shape of the contents. Rubber latex containing a vulcanizing agent and an accelerator may be used, the latex being foamed before or after casting. Rubber dough with gassing and vulcanizing agents may be employed. Latex may be poured onto horsehair or the like, loosely packed between the core and box walls. The core may be used to apply heat for setting or vulcanizing. The box may be in two halves which are applied jointly round an article to be packed.
