Improvements in or relating to a device for measuring direct voltages
Abstract
Abstract 609,381. Current and voltage measurements and measuring apparatus. PHILIPS LAMPS, Ltd. May 9, 1946, No. 14029. Convention date, Feb. 6, 1942. [Class 37] Relates to a system of measuring direct voltages by changing them to interrupted voltages which are amplified and measured. According to the invention, a condenser 6, Fig. 1, in the input circuit of a valve 3 is alternately charged by the direct voltage 1 and discharged; preferably, a trembler 8 actuated by alternating current alternately closes contacts 7<1>, 7 in the charging and discharging circuits of the condenser. In a modification, the condenser is alternately connected to opposite points of a bridge circuit so as to measure the potential difference, Fig. 2 (not shown). Specification 551,075 is referred to.
