Improvements in or relating to motor-driven pumps for liquids
Abstract
Abstract 608,121. Wrenches. SELF-PRIMING PUMP & ENGINEERING CO., Ltd., MEREDEW, G. C., and McKEAN, J. A. March 12, 1946, No. 7690, [Class 61 (iii)] [Also in Groups XXV, XXVI and XXXV] A wrench for removing a pump and motor unit 1 from its mounting 7 in which it is held by a bayonet or like type joint, comprises an inner part 27 provided with a screwed end 31 and an outer part 28 provided with internal hexagon socket 32. Correct engagement of the wrench causes one end 23 of the lever 22 to be depressed, thus withdrawing the locking pin 24 from engagement with the hole 26 in the mounting and also causes the claw 25 to engage a rim on the part 28, thus preventing withdrawal of the wrench. The unit may then be rotated to disengage the bayonet connection. Specifications 558,040 and 607,830, [both in Group XXVI], are referred to.
