Abstract 602,365. Switch contacts. ENGLISH ELECTRIC CO., Ltd., MARDIS, P. L., and SMITH, S. A. July 3, 1945, No. 23234/46. Divided out of 602,354. [Class 38 (v)] In an electric switch the movable contact consists of a bridging member 10 which, in the open position, tilts slightly on its bed 14. When the contacts engage a wiping action occurs. The tilt may be produced by making the surface 14 inclined or, as shown, by projections 10d, 10e arranged to one side of the strip 10. The invention is applicable to the auxiliary contacts of an electromagnetic contactor.
