The coating of sheet materials
Abstract
Abstract Films of polythene are stripped from non-porous backing sheets such as regenerated cellulose or metal foil or glazed paper on to which the polythene has been applied by transferring from a metal surface (see Group VIII). Natural or synthetic uncured rubber, polyisobutylene, waxes, rosin, bitumen, dyes, pigments, oxidation inhibitors, mineral fillers may be added to the polythene. The metal surface may be embossed, engraved, patterned or printed. Separating aids can be applied to the backing sheet. Specifications 571,867, 585,186; 600,065, 600,687, [both in Group XXVIII], and 600,999 are referred to.
