Abstract
Abstract 595,657. Condensers. INGRAM, SIR H. July 6, 1945, No. 17318. Drawings to Specification. [Class 37] A method of manufacturing condensers comprises forming a laminated structure by assembling imperforate metal plates alternately with sheets consisting solely of thermoplastic synthetic resin of greater area than the metal plates, and applying heat and pressure to cause the sheets of plastic to become mutually adherent and form a homogeneous casing integral with the condenser dielectric sheets. The plates may have narrow strips which extend to the outside of the block, for connection purposes. Metal sheets of such a form as to present alternate narrow and wide strips may be assembled as above and separate condensers made by cutting the block across the narrow strips.
