Improvements in and relating to electrical condensers and methods for manufacturing the same
Abstract
Abstract 518,127. Condensers. PORZELLANFABRIK KAHLA, and SCHEID, F. Aug. 10, 1938, No. 23586. [Class 37] A dielectric disc 17 bearing metallic surfaces 18, 19 is supported by dished plate, springs 11, 21, held frictionally on a central pin 14, and serving, through connecting tags 12, 22 or 13, 23, for connecting the condenser in a circuit. The lower spring 11 may be replaced by a collar on the pin 14, or the spring and the base plate 16 may be replaced by the base of a ceramic casing with which the pin is integral. A modification, with multiple discs, in such a casing is shown in Fig. 17 in which dielectric discs 67 with metallic coatings 68 are superposed on the central pin 62, appropriate connections 69, 70 for parallel coupling being interposed. The plate spring 71 and metal disc 66 serve, through integral tags 64, as connecting leads to the outside. The interior of the casing may be filled with insulating material.
