Abstract
Abstract 516,854. Pressure - actuated flow meters. DREIER, G. H., and PATERSON ENGINEERING CO., Ltd. July 27, 1938, No. 22317. Addition to 409849. [Class 69 (i)] The device of the parent Specification is modified by arranging that the recorder is subject to the influence of the differential pressure existing at both sides of the orifice plate. Chlorine &c. from a cylinder a passes through a pressure reducing valve b, regulating valve c and orifice plate e. Connections f, f<1> lead from opposite sides of the plate e to chambers g, g' divided by diaphragms h, h', the parts of the chambers remote from connections f, f<1> being connected to bellows l, l<1> which, through linkage n actuate the pointer o of the barograph. The plate e and diaphragms h, h' are of silver or other material unaffected by the chlorine &c. A recorder other than a barograph may be used.
