Abstract 496,830. Plate heat - exchangers. BERGEDORFER EISENWERK AKT.- GES. ASTRA-WERKE. Sept. 13, 1937, No. 24896. Convention date, Sept. 23, 1936. [Class 64 (iii)] In an exchanger formed of alternate flat and corrugated plates providing zigzag paths for the heat-exchange fluids, the corrugations are formed by pressing grooves, the walls of which are substantially perpendicular to the plates, in opposite sides of the plates. The grooves may be formed with common walls 5, and the platens pressed at their margins to form packing grooves 7, 8.
