Abstract
Abstract 465,115. Pipe joints. BAXENDALE, A. S. Oct. 30, 1935, No. 29926. [Class 99 (i)] Two pipes b are connected together to form a flexible fluid-tight joint by means of a sleeve a of vulcanized rubber or equivalent material having an integral internally-projecting flange c against which the pipes ends can press, a layer of rubber or other vegetable latex being applied to the jointing-surfaces. The flange c may have lateral flanges engaging recesses f in the ends of the pipes. In a modification, the flanges lie against the interior surfaces of the pipes, the bore being slightly reduced at the joint.
