Improvements in or relating to thermo-couples for use in the temperature-control systems of electric furnaces
Abstract
Abstract 461,370. Thermo electric batteries. SADLER, A. (Electric Furnace Co.) Nov. 12, 1935, No. 31223. [Class 53] A thermocouple d<1> for use in temperature-control systems of electric furnaces is contained in a casing a through which air is drawn to remove gases which leak into the casing. The couple d<1> is located in a chamber d<2> at the bottom of the casing the remainder of which is divided by a partition g into two compartments c, b When the apparatus is in use air is drawn into the compartment c,through an inlet a<2>, then into the chamber d2 and compartment band through an outlet a<3>. A ring e or other stop limits the extent to which the apparatus can be inserted in the furnace chamber.
