Improvements in and relating to electric condensers more particularly for high frequency and wireless purposes and processes for the manufacture thereof
Abstract
Abstract 440,951. Condensers. PORZELLANFABRIK KAHLA, Kahla, Th³ringia, Germany. April 6, 1934, Nos. 10481 and 10482. Convention dates, Nov. 9, 1933 and Dec. 15, 1933. [A Specification was laid open to inspection under Sect. 91 of the Acts, Oct. 9, 1934.] [Class 38 (ii)] )] A condenser more particularly for high frequency work comprises thin-walled extruded ceramic tubes of small dielectric loss, with electrodes of noble metal burnt on to the inner and outer faces, connecting wires being secured to annular strip-like metal bands: In Fig. 1, the bands 51, 52 are both external, the inner coating being taken over the end edge to the exterior. In Fig. 7 the annular connectors 54, 55 are soldered between concentric condensers, the coatings again being taken over the end edges to afford means for ready connection to the appropriate connectors. Fig. 10 shows an end view of a modification in which the innermost cylinder is extended beyond the outer and around it is clamped a connector ring 56 with loops 58. The ring is in contact with the outer coating of the innermost unit and by filling the loops 58 with solder it is made to effect contact with the appropriate coatings on the outer cylinders at their edges.
