Abstract

Abstract A reciprocating-gripper rotary chuck is used as a surgical p drilling-machine for introducing Kirschner wires into bones. The wires are provided with a spearhead or drill-point to enable them to function as drills for their introduction into a passage through the bones in the treatment of a fracture, the wires then serving as connectors for applying traction.
