Abstract
Abstract 399,109. Tanks; siphons. BOSCH, J., 338, Avenida del 14 de Abril, Barcelona, Spain. March 29, 1933, No. 9494. Convention date, Oct. 26, 1932. [Class 69 (i).] An arrangement for ensuring the discharge of accumulated sediment &c. from a tank, comprises a siphon L connected to the bottom of the tank and rising to the level of normal capacity before descending to a level S beneath the draw-off level D, whereby the rise of level in the tank initiates siphonic action which is broken by the fall of level below an air inlet or valvular orifice B. The siphon may be within or connected to the tank, and the bottom of the latter may be flat or shaped to promote the collection of sediment.
