Abstract 364,109. Applying liquids to the skin. FELL, J., 87, Bold Street, Liverpool. Sept. 16, 1930, Nos. 27598 and 31486. [Class 81 (ii).] A readily refillable vest pocket container for tincture of iodine or other liquid to be applied to the skin, comprises a barrel a, open at one end, which is screw-threaded internally tc receive the nozzle or tip d, and externally to receive a cap g having an indiarubber pad h to seal the container when not in use. The tip a has a large hollow interior communicating with an axial outlet passage e opening on to a flattened surface at the end of the tip d. The passage e is about 1 mm. in length and from 0À75 to 1 -5 mm. in diameter so that the contained liquid exudes therefrom when the tip is passed over the skin in contact therewith. In a modification the container is constructed after the manner of a sac self-filling pen, and in a further modification the barrel is divided by a central transverse partition and is fitted with a nozzle and. cap at each end. According to the Provisional Specification the indiarubber pad h may be omitted and a joint made between an inclined annular surface on the tip d and a shoulder within the cap g.
