Abstract
Abstract 354,843. Kinematograph apparatus. WILLIAMS, J. D., 82, Portland Place, London.-(Schwartz, G. ; 212, Avenue Raspail, Paris.) May 17, 1930, No. 15238. [Classes 97 (i) and 98 (ii).] Cylindrical reflectors are used to compress or expand the photographic image or projected picture in one dimension. The system may comprise, as shown in the Figure, a convex cylindrical mirror 16 and a convex cylindrical lens 11, and may be combined with right-angled prisms for aligning the optical axes of the system and also with a collimating system comprising a convex and a concave spherical lens. A convex and a concave cylindrical mirror may be employed in conjunction with an inverting prism. Rightangled prisms with cylindrically curved hypotenuses may be employed in conjunction with plane mirrors. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specifications 22825/08, [Class 98, Photography], and 22940/10, [Class 98 (ii), Photographic processes &c]
