Abstract
Abstract Density separators.-Liner discs for centrifugal separators have inner and outer flanges which are thicker than the conical part, and they are manufactured by spinning. During the operation material is displaced so that the relation between the thickness of the conical part and that of the original material becomes equal to or smaller than the sine of the half of the angle at the apex of the cone. Each disc may first be made into the form of two conical mantles, and the outer mantle is then bent up to form the outer flange. A stiff outer flange may be obtained by double bending.
