Abstract 321,478. British United Shoe Machinery Co., Ltd., (United Shoe Machinery Corporation). Aug. 20, 1928. Drawings to Specification. Rivets. - A hollow rivet, by which a shank stiffener is secured in position in a boot or shoe, is bevelled at its leading edge to punch a hole smaller in diameter than the rivet as it is forced into the boot sole in which it is to be set.
