Abstract
Abstract 304,007. Yamanouchi, T. Dec. 29, 1927. Sleeve couplings.-In anchoring and connecting device for stranded cables, such as steel cored aluminium cables, consists of an outer sleeve 4 having a tapered recess 1 therein, in which the outer strands are clamped by a hollow conical wedge 6 and a cylindrical bore 2 which encloses a sleeve 7 and clamping cone 9 for the core and into which screws the anchoring eye 18. A lateral socket 11 on the sleeve 4 enclosed a conical sleeve 13 and wedge 14 for clamping the jumper lead, the end of the sleeve 13 being closed by a disc 17 in which are a hole 15 for pouring solder into the joint, and air vents 16.
